The passport photo requirements for Norway are that you must submit 2 official coloured passport photos. This applies to the passport but also to a tourist or work visa.

Cost of passport photo or visa photo Norway

We are able to create a Norwegian passport photo for as low as € 15,-. With it, you will receive 6 photos. These will be cut and neatly packaged in a small suitcase for you.  

In case you also need a digital variant of the photo alongside your prints, it will cost an additional €2,50. This variant will be sent to your email address. 

You can simply walk in without an appointment at our studio over on Hugo de Grootplein 17 in Amsterdam.  The passport photos will be made for you immediately.   

Though it is not necessary, an appointment can always be made so you can make sure that you can be helped at a specific time if you are currently unavailable. 

Photo requirements:

  • Bear a good resemblance and and be made recently
  • Background can only be light and even, with no shadows
  • Have the official format (35 mm width x 45 mm height)
  • The face from chin to crown is between 32 and 36 mm
  • May not be older than 6 months
  • Printed on high quality photo paper
  • Close-up of the head with the schoulders, the face covers 70-80% of the photo
  • Sharp, clear, contrast is good with no marks on the front or back side
  • Looking straight into the camera with a neutral expression
  • Natural skin tones
  • No shadows visible on the face or in the background
  • Eyes open and completely visible
  • No reflection in the face or red eyes
  • Glasses are allowed, if there is no reflection, no thick frame, the eyes must be completely visible
  • Headgear is not allowed, except for religious reasons.
    From the bottom of the chin to the top of the forehead everything must be visible, including the edges of the face

Adjustment in the requirements:

We are aware of the latest developments in the field of the rules and requirements that a country sets for the passport photo. It is possible that a country decides to adjust the requirements for taking a passport photo. Therefore, always take the form that you receive from your consulate with you when you have the passport photo taken. In general, the consulate is the first to receive the new rules. We will then check for you whether the requirements match, so that you are always up to date.
