The passport photo requirements for Afghanistan are that you have 1 or 2 official photos in color. This applies for the passport but also for  a tourist or work visa. However, the formats for a visa photo and a passport photo are not the same.

This visa photos should:

  • Be very similar
  • Only have a white (uniform) background
  • Be shot from the front
  • The official size from (35 mm width x 45 mm height)
  • Head height (until the top of the hair): 34.5mm;
    distance from the top of the photo until the top of the hair : 3mm.
  • In some cases it has to be handed online
