The passport photo requirements for Japan are that you must submit 2 official color passport photos. However, the visa, passport photo and driver’s license photo are not equal, as explained below.

Neutral look and mouth closed looking straight at the camera

Chin to crown should be 75% of the picture (22.5 mm)
Crown should be 4% removed of the top of the picture (1.2 mm)
