Hong Kong photo requirements

The passport photo requirements for Hong Kong are that you must submit an official color passport photo.

Having photos taken for a passport or visa for Hong Kong costs from € 15.00 with us and you will receive 6 photos.
If you also need the photo digitally, € 2,50 will be added.
You can walk in without an appointment at Hugo de Grootplein 17 in Amsterdam, and the passport photos are ready immediately.

The tourist visa photo must meet the following conditions:

  • Have a light gray, light blue or white (solid) background
  • Have the format of 40mm width x 50mm height
  • Have a length of the head (from chin to crown) between 28 and 33 mm
  • Looking straight into the camera with a neutral facial expression
  • Ears visible, eyes open and mouth closed
  • Babies with closed eyes are accepted
  • Kids should open their eyes and look straight into the camera
  • The photo must be recent and no older than 6 months
  • Stamped to the visa application form

Work visa photo must be submitted digitally with the following conditions:

  • Have a completely white background
  • No white clothing may be worn in the photo
  • Have a square format
  • The head and shoulders visible in the center of the image
  • The facial expression is neutral
  • Looking straight into the camera
  • Wearing glasses is not allowed
  • The photo must not be older than 6 months
  • The file must be between 1MB and 15MB in size
  • The photo must be in color and a JPG, JPEG, GIF or PNG
